Does both devices need power? And what kind?

Yes. Both the Occuhub (sensor) and Light Indicator require power.
Each device supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) or USB-C, giving full flexibility depending on your installation.

Can I buy the light standalone?

Yes. The Light Indicator can be purchased as a standalone product. It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or any third party application through our open API.

Can I buy the sensor standalone?

Yes. The Occuhub sensor can also be purchased separately. It works as a plug-and-play occupancy sensor with data outputs for room usage, air quality, temperature, and humidity. And it integrates with O365 in order to remove Ghostmeetings and Enable Autobooking supporting any scheduling/booking panel that communicate with O365.

.
How does Ghost Meeting Removal and Auto-Booking work?

The Occuhub detects presence in the room.

  • If a room is booked but no one shows up, it automatically releases the meeting after a set time — freeing it for others to use.
  • If someone walks into an unbooked room, the system auto-books the meeting directly into Microsoft 365 or your connected booking platform and your booking or scheduling panel.
Does your solutions integrate with O365?

Yes. Occulights has a native integration with Microsoft 365 for booking synchronization, ghost meeting removal, and auto-booking.

Does your devices support OTA (Over-The-Air) updates?

Does your devices support OTA (Over-The-Air) updates?

Yes. All Occulights devices support secure OTA updates, ensuring continuous firmware improvements and security patches without physical access.

What kind of data can I pull from the sensor?

You can access detailed space utilization data, including:

  • Real-time occupancy
  • Historical room usage
  • Air quality (temperature, humidity)
  • Device online/offline status
  • Number of Ghost meetings and auto booking generated
Data can be exported via CSV, SVG, PNG, or accessed through our open API.
Can I change hold time and debounce delay?

Yes. You can easily configure the hold time (how long the sensor keeps a room occupied after people leave) and debounce delay (delay before changing state). For example, set it to stay “occupied” for 3, 5, or 10 minutes after someone steps out for coffee.

How many colors can the Light Indicator show?

The Light Indicator can display multiple customizable colors.
Default setup:

  • 🟢 Green = Available
  • 🔴 Red = Occupied
  • 🔵 Blue = Soon Booked / Transition

Additional color options can be configured through software or API.

Does it have an open API?

Yes. Occulights has a fully open API, allowing seamless integration with workplace platforms, analytics dashboards, or third-party applications or other technologies.

Can I integrate with a workplace platform?

Absolutely. Occulights can integrate with most workplace software solutions, and others, giving you flexibility to connect sensors and lights directly to your preferred system. This is usually done by giving the third party workplace vendors access to our API

What about security?

Security is built into every layer of Occulights.

  • AES-128 encryption for device-to-device communication
  • WPA2-PSK Wi-Fi security
  • Secure Boot and signed firmware
  • Over-The-Air (OTA) security updates
  • Data anonymization and TLS 1.2+ encryption
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) and MFA
Occulights follows ISO/IEC 27001:2013 principles to ensure your data stays private and secure.
Do I need to connect the devices to the internet?

No. Occulights can run offline in point-to-point mode with no internet connection required. However you need access to internet to do the setup, and then you can disconnect it again. This can be done by simply sharing internet from your phone during setup process.

However, if you want to do custom setups, use integrations, OTA updates, or cloud analytics, you must run it online — the choice is yours.

How large rooms does the sensor cover?

Each Occuhub covers up to 1–15 m², depending on ceiling height and room layout.
For larger spaces, multiple sensors can be installed to ensure full coverage. In late Q4 2025 you will be able to “daisy chain” sensors covering larger rooms

Can I add two lights to one sensor?

Yes. You can connect multiple Light Indicators to a single Occuhub sensor, making it easy to visualize occupancy from several entrances or angles.

Can the devices be monitored?

Yes. You can monitor all devices in real time via the Occulights Data Dashboard. Or via API.
You’ll see which rooms are online/offline, occupancy status, and environmental conditions — all in one view.
