Oslo, Norway – [29.01.2025] – Occulights, the Oslo-based start-up that initially made technology for small meeting rooms, announces the launch of new features for their Occuhub Multisensor and will now be able to deliver technology for small to large meeting rooms.
Designed to optimize workplace productivity, Occulights offers a plug-and-play solution that combines a room occupancy indicator and a multisensor. By using Occulights, businesses eliminate workplace interruptions caused by employees checking for room availability, while significantly reducing the time spent searching for available ad-hoc and non-bookable meeting spaces.
The latest update introduces two key features when the Occuhub becomes available as a standalone product:
- Automatic Ghost Meeting Release:
The Occuhub now detects when there´s a no-show for a booked meeting. Commonly referred to as a "ghost meeting." If no one shows up, the room is automatically released, improving space utilization and making it easier for employees to find available meeting spaces. - Auto-Booking:
With the new auto-booking functionality, employees no longer need to manually reserve meeting rooms ad-hoc using the scheduling panels. Occuhub detects when someone occupies a room for more than a preset time (e.g., 2 minutes) and automatically generates a booking in Microsoft O365. This real-time integration updates Occulight or a scheduling panel with lights from green (available) to red (occupied).
